Fallen Flags is a term used to describe a railroad that is no longer in existence, either by merger, or economics or other factors. I like to paint these railroads, this history that passed before my eyes. I always thought they'll be here tomorrow, I'll get another chance, oh how wrong I was, so I spend my talents on trains that for the most part I'll never see again. The Frisco, Saint Louis and San Francisco, gone in 1980, merged into the Burlington Northern. My memories keep these trains running and my brushes keep these railroads alive.
